Science Communication in Grant Proposals
The virtual seminar „Science Communication in Grant Proposals“ is aimed at scientists who apply for funding for their research. The seminar aims to enable scientists to adequately reflect the topic of science communication in their grant applications and to implement the communication projects planned within the framework of their research proposals.
Participants will learn essential basic principles of science communication and develop their own concepts and strategies for the specific communication of their research projects.
The training is designed to be interactive. Teaching content alternates with practical exercises and question-and-answer sessions. This seminar focuses on the section on science communication in grant proposals. It is not a general course on grant writing.
Thematic focal areas of the seminar are:
- The strategic framework for science communication in grand proposals
- The alignment of communication goals with target groups
- The selection of suitable communication formats
- Resource planning and budgeting
- The evaluation of communication activities
Technical information
The seminar is implemented with the video conferencing software „Zoom“.
If exercises are integrated into the seminar context, they will be carried out as Google Office solutions (e.g. google docs, sheets, slides or google forms). These applications are used within the framework of the GDPR-compliant corporate solution Google G-Suite. Participants do not need their own Google account for this.
To participate in the interactive seminar, participants need a working microphone and camera on their PC/laptop. It is necessary that participants switch on the camera and microphone during the seminar.
